1) ADMINISTRATION:
– Assist the Deputy Managing Director in organising and maintaining efficient administrative
systems.
– Participate with other managers and staff in developing systems, policies and procedures to
ensure the effective delivery of services.
– Be responsible dealing sensitively with the range of complex and challenging issues
presented by centre users.
– Devise and revise the centre program format and ensure that it reflects all current centre
activity.
– Promote the work of the centre through a range of medium (posters, standee, etc).
– Organise and maintain an efficient library of reference material in the reception area for both
staff, users and visitors use.
– Operate manual and computerised office systems (recording statistics,, relevant databases,

collating information for evaluation and mornitoring purposes, etc).
– Assist in premises maintenance to ensure that repairs are carried out.
– Under take office telephone, including taking messages for other staff.
– Under take general office duties are:
dealing with internal and external email enquiries –
photocopying and collating papers and mailings – arranging documents to be printed –
monitoring stocks of basic items (stationery, paper, tone, etc) – order stationery, euipments and
other items.
2) HR:
– Oversee and supervise the work of staff for whom the post holder is responsible, delegating
tasks as appropriate.
– Be responsible for personnel related issues including, placing advertisements, arranging
interviews, etc.
– Be responsible for keeping up to date information on staff employed by the centre, anf
managing staff and recruitment records in line with data protection legistration and good
practise.
– Be responsible for overseeing job description, annual leave, sickness records, etc.
– Coordinate and deliver in-service training of learning centre staff, including induction
programmes for new staff, workd placement staff, and on-the-job training.
3) STUDENT SERVICE – FINANCE
– Positively promote equality of opportunity for staff and students.
– Work duties on the student service area of the learning centre.
– Ensure compliance with the financial regulations of the learning centre.
Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by Manager and Team
Leader, icluding taking Daily report – Weekly report – Monthly report – Quaterly report – Yearly
report, etc.
